Designing the Post-Pandemic Work Culture: HR Managers Preparing To Handle the ‘Long COVID’

29th August 2021

After over a year of big challenges, interruptions, and transformation, several companies are entering the second half of 2021 with optimism and anticipation. A lot of companies are providing support to encourage vaccinations. Many companies have considered the path of returning to normalcy with all the possible COVID protocols.

However, to manage the ‘long COVID’ effectively, HR Managers are now sturdily focusing on the rising matter of building the post-pandemic work culture. As offices will never be the same again, a lot of debates are going on about re-structuring the office setting.

At the same time, HR Managers are also trying to speak to the employees, find out what they need and decide whether the requirement is sensible or not, or if there’s a substitute accommodation that can meet the employee’s requirements.

Starting from adjusting to social distancing practices to employees' health and well-being during the pandemic, HR managers are working under difficult circumstances. By maintaining social distance, wearing masks in the office and washing hands now and then, organizations look forward to a positive restart to gradually bounce back. However, companies are still ambiguous about how they will manage constant social distancing at work or a new hybrid workplace that permits for more remote work opportunities.
