In her extensive career as a mentor, educator, curriculum designer and trainer, Jacintha has served in various organisations where she has made meaningful contributions through her innovative learning strategies and academic handholding. Her academic achievements are as vast as her professional expertise ranging from certifications in Early Childhood Education, to Teaching Montessori and Kindergarten Methodology, to a Diploma in Aviation and Hotel Management.
Her extensive academic pursuits are a testament to her devotion to lifelong learning and a knack for knowledge for personal and professional upliftment. Throughout her career, she has helped to empower parents and teachers to foster child development through creative learning methods and innovative curricula. She is invested towards enabling teachers to create inclusive and intuitive learning environments for children by identifying their unique abilities and interests through fun and active learning and stimulating their emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
Jacintha JM is currently working with Little Buddy International Preschool, where she is heading the school responsibilities that cover end-to-end administration, admissions, parent engagement, organising and conducting events, leading, training and mentoring teachers, recruiting staff and counselling parents. She has played an instrumental role in enhancing the number of student admissions and retaining students for the next academic sessions. She is pivotal in guiding the teachers in planning their lesson plans and curriculum design for all grades.
She worked as an Academic and Curriculum Coordinator for KARA4KIDS, where she was responsible for designing both online and offline curricula and ensuring proper implementation across all the centres of the organisation. She was also responsible for mentoring and providing constructive feedback to teachers and coordinators and conducting professional development training. Furthermore, she collaborated with and coordinated with the organisation’s partners at Slippery Rock University, Pennsylvania.
As a Preschool Resource Person with the Academy for Creative Teaching, Jacintha JM designed Day-Wise and Theme-wise Curricula for 22 schools across Karnataka and 2 schools outside Karnataka. Her vast responsibilities included designing workbooks, preparing teaching and learning resources, reviewing textbooks of various publications, and conducting training for teachers on several modules and orientations for parents.
As a freelance curriculum consultant, she supported Wonderland Preschools with curriculum coordination and implementation, professional development of teachers, parent counselling and orientation, supported and guided school events, teacher recruitment, class observations and teacher appraisals.
At Indus Early Learning Centre, she hosted Indus Day programs, learnt about the IB curriculum, and coordinated with teachers to make classroom resources. As an early educator and curriculum designer, Jacintha worked with children from the age of 6 months to the age of 6 years at NEEV Schools in Bangalore. She worked at the Treamis World School as a Kindergarten educator, at the Gopalan National and International Schools, and Bishop Sergent School. At the very beginning of her teaching career, she volunteered as a teacher at Ankur Montessori School which ignited her passion for teaching and took her on a journey of life-long learning.
Jacintha also started her own preschool as a Franchisee where she has trained teaching and non-teaching staff. She has designed Training Modules for a Karnataka Government project called ‘Kalyana Karnataka’ for Anganwadi, which is used for training Government school teachers across 7 Districts in Karnataka.
