We have noticed that some fraudsters falsely present employers with unauthorised and fake
EBU certificates and degrees. This kind of fraud of fake degrees and certificates has become
quite common today, and employers must take measures to protect themselves from the ill
effects of these frauds. It has been observed that employers are being increasingly duped
where prospective employees are using fake EBU certificates to secure jobs. As educational
institutions take more sophisticated security measures to protect the integrity of their
documents, so are the fraudsters increasingly catching and finding ways to breach the security
measures taken by educational organisations.
Many employers have dedicated teams for background verification and authentication of
documents presented by potential employees. However, all organisations do not have the
resources to have a dedicated background-checking team. In such cases, we encourage the
employers to cross-check the logos on the certificate with our website and to always ask to see
the original certificate instead of a photocopy.
We have laid down a few steps for the employers to verify the authenticity of any EBU certificate
that is presented to them. This is a measure taken from our end to help employers avoid a bad
hire which can cost money, time, and reputation of the organisation.
- We have provisions for employers to authenticate our certificates through online
verification. This can be done through our secure link by using the student ID, which is a
unique code for each student.
- Even the candidature of our existing students, who are still pursuing the course can be
verified through online status verification.
- Legalisation and notarisation won't be feasible until the authenticity of the certificate has
been confirmed, which can be done online via our verification link or by writing to contact@ebu.ac.
If you feel, you have been a victim of any fraud, please immediately report it to us at contact@ebu.ac.
