EBU Scholarship Programme

Education with Purpose. Learning with Impact.

About The Ebu Scholarship Programme

East Bridge University (EBU), headquartered in Paris and listed in Times Higher Education (THE), offers a dedicated scholarship programme as part of its mission: Education with Purpose. Learning with Impact.

  • Our scholarships are awarded under three distinct tracks — the Global Access Scholarship, the Academic Excellence Scholarship, and the SDG Leadership Scholarship — each designed to recognise a different but equally important dimension of student potential.
  • Through this initiative, eligible candidates receive scholarship support covering at least 50% of their tuition fees, making globally recognised higher education more accessible and achievable for professionals across the world.
  • All scholarship awards are applied at the point of enrolment and clearly documented in the student's Offer Letter — no hidden conditions, no non-refundable scholarship amounts.

Scholarship Tracks

Global Access Scholarship

(For students from low-income and developing economies)

Who Is This For?

This scholarship is designed for motivated professionals and learners from low-income or lower-middle-income countries, where access to globally recognised higher education remains a significant financial challenge. EBU acknowledges the economic realities of the developing world and is committed to bridging that gap through meaningful financial support.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a national of, and currently residing in, a country classified as a low-income or lower-middle-income economy (as per the World Bank GDP classification)
  • Demonstrated financial need and limited access to internationally accredited higher education
  • Meets the standard academic entry requirements for the chosen EBU programme
  • Submission of a Personal Statement (500 words) explaining how the scholarship will impact your career and community
  • Two letters of recommendation (professional or academic)

What We Look For?

EBU evaluates each application holistically — considering economic background, professional motivation, community impact, and the potential the candidate brings to their field of study. The scholarship amount is determined individually based on the applicant's country profile, programme of choice, and documented financial background.

Successful applicants under this track may receive scholarship coverage of at least 50% of tuition fees, based on financial need, country profile, and programme selection.

Scholarship Tracks

Academic Excellence Scholarship

(For high-achieving students with outstanding academic records)

Who Is This For?

This scholarship recognises and rewards candidates who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement throughout their educational journey. If you have consistently performed at the top of your cohort, EBU wants to support your continued pursuit of excellence at the postgraduate or doctoral level.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Demonstrated record of high academic performance — including strong GPA, distinction-level grades, or equivalent merit-based honours from a recognised institution
  • Academic transcripts must be submitted and verified as part of the application
  • Prior degrees from accredited institutions (minimum Bachelor's for postgraduate; Master's or equivalent for Doctoral tracks)
  • A Research or Professional Interest Statement (500 words) outlining academic goals and the significance of the chosen field of study
  • Two academic references attesting to the candidate's intellectual capability and commitment

What We Look For?

EBU recognises that academic excellence is not only about grades — it is about intellectual curiosity, research potential, and the drive to contribute meaningfully to one's profession and society. Scholarship awards under this track reflect the depth and quality of the candidate's academic profile and programme alignment.

High-achieving candidates selected under this track may receive scholarship support covering at least 50% of tuition fees, in recognition of their academic merit and future potential.

Scholarship Tracks

SDG Leadership Scholarship

(For professionals actively advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals)

Who Is This For?

This scholarship is for the change-makers — the educators, healthcare professionals, community leaders, and public-sector innovators whose daily work is already advancing a more equitable and sustainable world. EBU believes that education and impact are inseparable. The SDG Leadership Scholarship is our investment in those already proving it.

If your professional role contributes directly to one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), or SDG 5 (Gender Equality) — EBU wants to support your next step.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Active professional engagement in a field aligned with one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals (education, healthcare, public service, community development, environmental work, or related sectors)
  • Meets the standard academic entry requirements for the chosen EBU programme
  • Submission of an SDG Impact Statement (500 words) describing your work, the SDG(s) you contribute to, and how your EBU qualification will amplify that impact
  • Two professional references — at least one from a supervisor, employer, or sector authority who can speak to your SDG-aligned work
  • Applicants from underserved or emerging economies are particularly encouraged to apply

What We Look For?

EBU looks for candidates whose professional identity is built around purpose — those whose career trajectory shows a genuine, sustained commitment to meaningful change. We consider the nature and scale of the applicant's SDG-aligned work, the clarity of their vision, and how an EBU qualification will strengthen their ability to lead and deliver impact.

Candidates selected under this track may receive scholarship support covering at least 50% of their tuition fees, in recognition of their mission-aligned work and global contribution.
